My name is Megan Orr and I am a lifestyle accessory and room decor designer who loves to make ideas a reality.
I graduated from Kent State University in the Spring of 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Fashion Design with a focus in women’s apparel design.
Over the last 10 years, I have spent my time in the retail fashion industry learning new skills and expanding my product knowledge. During my time with Abercrombie & Fitch I worked my way up from a driven assistant designer to a senior designer. I expanded my design scope to include accessories, knit layering, sleep, swim and intimates. I explored technical design at Express and gained a wealth of knowledge about women’s knit and casual pants. Most recently, during my time with Justice, I built upon my accessory design experience to include room decor with support from both hard and soft-line goods.
An in-depth understanding of the production process, from concept and raw materials to final production has helped me create the best products within each category. I love working with others and coaching young designers to reach their full potential. As a creative, I am always looking for new ways to expand my skills and believe we never stop learning.
